What this calculates
What is calculated, and the conventions used
- Ten bodies (Sun through Pluto) in the tropical zodiac, in the true ecliptic and equinox of date, computed geocentrically.
- Ascendant and Midheaven, and house cusps with body placements, when a birth time is known.
- Houses are calculated in the Whole Sign system, Astro Gazer's default. House systems are competing astrological methodologies, not scientifically proven alternatives, and every calculated chart names the system it was produced with.
- House-based interpretation is published for Whole Sign houses only, and interpretation written for one house system is never reused under another.
- If the houses cannot be defined for a birthplace and moment, the calculation says so. No approximate cusps are produced.
- If the birth time is unknown, nothing that depends on an instant is produced. No time is substituted in its place, and no approximate angle is offered.
- Every value shown is produced by the deterministic calculation service and reported with its provenance. Nothing is generated by a language model.
- This simple chart does not show aspects between planets, because no aspect interpretation is published yet.

Astro Gazer is operated by an individual rather than a company, and this is the person accountable for the processing described here.
- Why the details are used
- To calculate the birth chart you asked for and show it back to you. They are used for nothing else: no profile is built, no advertising is targeted, no analytics are collected, no research set is assembled, and nothing is sold or shared for anyone else's purposes.
- How they are collected
You type them into this form. They are sent electronically, in the body of a single same-origin request, and processed automatically by software. No person reads them, and no part of them is placed in the page address.
This form has no way to record anyone else's permission, which is why it asks for your own details rather than someone else's.
- Who else is involved
- Astro Gazer's own calculation service, which is part of this site and is reachable only from it, and the hosting provider whose machines both run on. There is no analytics provider, no advertising network, no third-party script and no data sale. Place search reads an index built into this site's own image, so typing a place name contacts nobody outside.
- How long they are kept
- They are not stored. They exist in this page's memory, in one request, and in the calculating process while it works, and then they are gone. There is no database, no file, no backup and no saved chart. The application's own log records have no field a birth date, time or place could occupy. Separate from that, the hosting platform keeps ordinary connection records such as an IP address and a timestamp; those are security and operations records, and they are not your birth details.
- How to make a request
- Write to contact@astrogazer.io. The address works and mail sent to it reaches a person. One address covers privacy, security and accessibility, so a request about your data does not need to find the right department first.
Türkiye: rights and information under KVKK
Astro Gazer is a worldwide site with one version for everyone. The operator is based in Türkiye, so Turkish data-protection law applies to this processing and the facts below are stated under it. They describe the same handling everyone gets; nothing here is a different product for one country.
- Legal basis
- KVKK Article 5/2(c): processing that is directly related to, and necessary for, performing the service you requested. You are not asked to tick a consent box for the calculation, because consent is not the basis it rests on; asking would describe what happens here less accurately, not more.
- Where the processing happens
- The machines currently run in Frankfurt, Germany. For visitors and for KVKK alike that means the processing takes place outside Türkiye, which is an international transfer under Turkish law; the safeguard KVKK Article 9 requires for it is being completed before this site opens to the public. The hosting location is an infrastructure choice and may change; it does not change the site, its content or who can reach it.
- Your rights under KVKK Article 11
- Learn whether your personal data is being processed.
- Ask for information about it if it has been processed.
- Learn the purpose of the processing, and whether the data is used in line with that purpose.
- Know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, that the data is transferred to.
- Ask for incomplete or inaccurate data to be corrected, and for the correction to be passed on to anyone it was transferred to.
- Ask for the data to be erased or destroyed where the conditions for that apply, and for that to be passed on as well.
- Object to a conclusion reached about you solely by automated analysis.
- Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
This is a plain-language summary of Article 11, not a substitute for the text of the law. Because nothing you enter here is stored, several of these rights have little to act on for the guest Birth Chart, which is a fact about the design, not a limit on the right.
- Birth details are sent in the body of a same-origin POST request to this site.
- They are not placed in the page address, a query string, or a shareable link.
- No account is created and no chart is saved.
- The application does not intentionally write birth details to localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, cookies, analytics, telemetry, or application logging.
- What you type and what is returned stay in ordinary page memory for as long as your browser keeps the page.
- Responses carry Cache-Control: no-store, which instructs browsers and intermediaries not to store them.
- The guest Birth Chart is the only current feature designed to accept birth details.
- If the calculation service is not configured, the request fails closed and the page says so instead of showing invented values.
